West Australian right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks (pictured above) has further confirmed he is a big game pitcher as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Texas Rangers 3-2, on Friday, August 30. Hendriks had no easy task taking on the Rangers who sit in first place in the American League West and the Rangers started ace Yu Darvish. Hendriks pitched six innings and claimed his second Major League career victory. It was a team effort though with the Twins scoring three runs in the seventh inning, Hendriks pitching his best game of the season to date and the Twins bullpen protecting the lead. Hendriks has shown great tenacity by bouncing back so well after his start against the Indians and expect more great work on the mound from this incisive young pitcher.
